Carlos Heredia, Ceramic Artist

Carlos Akamba Heredia is an artist from Oxnard, California. He received his BFA from

the Kansas City Art Institute (Kansas City, MO), specializing in Ceramics. Influenced by

dreams, nature, human connection, and death, he describes his practice as an ongoing

search for a visual language to communicate what is within. Carlos has been exploring

materials such as clay, oil pastel, oil paint, watercolor, and ink. He perceives his work as

a living organism, a piece of himself that has been reborn.
